Sandscale Haws National Nature Reserve
– Home to over 20,000 waterfowl and abundant with wildlife including the rare Natterjack Toads, Sandscale is a great day out for all the family and offers breathtaking coastal views.

Theatre by the Lake – Hailed by The Independent as “the mostly beautifully located and friendly theatre in Britain”, Theatre by the Lake is set amongst the magnificent Western Fells and a short stroll from Derwentwater. The theatre hosts up to nine of house productions a year plus many more events. Tickets vary for each production.
