The Black Swan is a family run inn owned by the Dinnes family for over 20 years. The pub is nestled in the unspoilt Cumbrian village of Ravenstonedale and is dog friendly. Bedrooms: Choose from 16 rooms ranging from comfortable doubles to a luxurious superior king suite. Each room comes with complimentary organic toiletries, Egyptian cotton linen, a TV, tea & coffee making facilities, fresh milk, hairdryer, and WiFi access. Dogs are welcome on request, with prior acknowledgement directly with the pub in five rooms, others (rooms Nos 9, 6, & 11) are suitable for families, and room 11 is fully accessible. Breakfast is a real treat and includes cooked and continental options.
Glamping Yurts: Choose from three yurts situated on the banks of the river, in a private forest garden. Each yurt is fully furnished with a king bed, antique furniture, and amenities such as tea and coffee. The yurts share outdoor bathroom facilities. One yurt (room 20) is suitable for families and all three are dog friendly.
Food & Drink
The Black Swan has won an abundance of local and national accolades and holds two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence. Critically acclaimed, recent successes include being a finalist at the Cumbrian Food Awards and featuring in the Estrella Damn Top Gastropubs list. Expect comforting, refined food with a creative slant, driven by local, seasonal ingredients. Pre-booking is especially advised at weekends and for dinner. Behind the bar you will find local ales, draft beers, Somersby cider, artisan gins, and mixers. There is also an eclectic wine list, featuring wines from the New and Old World.
