Ye Old Fighting Cocks is a traditional pub who serve hearty homecooked pub food. They cater well for guests with dietary requirements, there are daily specials and their Sunday roast is very popular.
They keep a well stocked cellar and serve a great selection of real ales, guest beers, ciders, draught lagers, wines and spirits. The cosy bar area has a wood burning fireplace and there is also a gin bar and coffee shop.
There are 20 bedrooms available to book, comprising of their classic, deluxe, single and triple rooms, together with their suites. They also have rooms suitable for families, guests bringing their dogs (on request with prior acknowledgement) and there is one accessible suite.
All of their bedrooms come with comfy beds, fresh towels and linen, a TV, tea & coffee making facilities and WiFi access. There are wonderful views of the estuary and mountains from many of the bedrooms, and outside there is a delightful terraced garden.
The pub has it’s own car park and a barn where cycles can be locked away safely.
They are ideally situated for visits to the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Lancaster, Kendal and Morecambe, with the Lake District National Park, the historic city of Lancaster and Morecambe Bay all only a short journey away.
