When it comes to food and drink, Cumberland Inn concentrate on doing the simple things well. Bar meals are prepared using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible and they can also cater for larger parties and special occasions.
The bar is fully stocked with an emphasis on real ales and cider. Regarded by the local Campaign for Real Ale Branch as a ‘must visit’, they have the best range of cask conditioned ale in Alston. The Cumberland has been in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide for many consecutive years.
The comfortable bedrooms at Cumberland Inn all offer en-suite bathrooms, hairdryers, TV’s and tea and coffee making facilities. Their bedrooms comprise of three double rooms and two twins and three of these are classified as family rooms, with extra single beds.
