Visit Swansea as it is the perfect place for you to sit back and relax as you enjoy the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Take a picnic and play on the award winning Swansea beaches or dust off your walking boots and explore the sleepy countryside, Mawr and the Lilw Valley.

Swansea is the second largest city in Wales, and has a fantastic mix of city life and dramatic countryside. It is the home of Swansea City FC and The Ospreys, one of the strongest rugby sides in the UK and Ireland.

Whilst visiting Swansea, it is worth visiting Swansea Market. It is the largest covered market in Wales and has over 100 stalls selling everything from fresh local produce to jewellery and leather goods.  Swansea is considered a great shopping destination and is considered to be the regional retail centre for South West Wales, which is terrific news for those looking for a bit of retail therapy!  Stop off for a bite to eat at one of the city’s many restaurants, pubs and trendy bars, before exploring the city’s vibrant art exhibitions.

For those looking to get out of the city and explore the coast, a trip to the Gower Peninsula is a must. Three Cliffs Bay is regularly voted one of the most dramatic locations in Britain. Rhossili Bay is equally as beautiful and is the first beach to be awarded Britain’s Best Beach by TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice.  Impressively, it has previously been voted the 3rd best beach in Europe and the 9th best beach in the world by TripAdvisor.  Low tide gives way to a huge expanse of beach and it is possible to walk across the bay to Llangennith.

Due to the dramatic coast line and surrounding countryside, there are lots of outdoor activities available when you visit Swansea and The Gower.
