Food & Drink

The Royal George has four distinct dining spaces, each with its own character but united by a farm-to-table approach and an emphasis on seasonal ingredients from Wales and the Wye Valley. The Upper Deck Restaurant is the more refined dining option, serving seasonal dishes that combine local ingredients with contemporary cooking. For something more relaxed, the Lower Deck Pub serves hearty favourites and reworked classics. In warmer weather, The Garden adds another dimension, with freshly made pizza from the outdoor oven served beneath a dining marquee surrounded by greenery. The Café opens for breakfast and continues with freshly brewed coffee, sandwiches, salads and lighter refreshments. The Lower Deck serves an extensive choice of draught and bottled beers, alongside wines and signature cocktails. Whether it is a relaxed pint after a Wye Valley walk, wine over supper or cocktails as the evening draws in, the bar has been designed as a destination in its own right.
