In 1850 a storm disturbed dunes on the main island of Orkney unveiling an amazingly well-preserved prehistoric village. Visitors can explore the 5000 year old village and view homes containing pieces of original stone furniture.

Built by William the Conqueror in 1068, Warwick Castle has been home to powerful Earls who met their maker in violent and horrific ways! Visitors can explore the castle and its grounds immersing themselves in almost a thousand years of history.

St Paul’s Cathedral with its vast dome, is an iconic feature of the London skyline and known across the world. This wonderful example of the architectural brilliance of Sir Christopher Wren has been a religious site for more than 1400 years .

Giant’s Causeway – Northern Ireland 

The Giant’s Causeway is Northern Ireland’s first UNESCO Heritage Site. It is made up of around 40,000 interlocking basalt columns which are the result of an ancient volcanic eruption. The National Trust offers guided tours around the unique site and surrounding coast.

Edinburgh Castle – Edinburgh, Scotland 

Edinburgh Castle is one of the oldest fortified places in Europe with a long and rich history as a royal residence, military garrison, prison and fortress. Due to its involvement in the Wars of Scottish Independence, Edinburgh Castle is know as the”Most Besieged Place in Great Britain”.

Kenilworth Castle

From medieval fortress to Elizabethan palace, Kenilworth Castle in Warwickshire has been at the centre of England’s affairs for much of its 900-year history. Today, you can marvel at the mighty Norman keep and imagine the majesty of the Great Hall playing host to medieval monarchs. Walk in the footsteps of the great Tudor queen as you explore the immaculate garden and picture the opulence and splendour of Elizabethan Kenilworth.
