For a brilliant getaway, visit Buckinghamshire, also abbreviated as Bucks, a county situated in South East England. It borders Greater London to the south-east, Berkshire to the south, Oxfordshire to the west and Northamptonshire to the north.

It is a vibrant and beautiful county, with stunning landscapes made famous in the TV show Midsomer Murders. It is a county jewel nestled in Central England, while also very close to London. Buckinghamshire is the most filmed county in England and has been featured in blockbuster movies such as Harry Potter, James Bond, Bridget Jones and Sherlock Holmes. The county’s grand houses quaint villages and forests make a dramatic and scenic backdrop for films.

The Wycombe Museum, Maidenhead Heritage Centre and The Stanley Spencer Art Gallery are popular cultural attractions. Home to more National Trust estates than any other county, Claydon House, Hughenden and Ascott House to name a few, there is no shortage of historic buildings to visit and explore.
