Full of charm and character, The Pointer in Brill runs a popular bar and restaurant alongside their award winning accommodation. With its oak beams, rustic decor and cosy fireside nooks, their bar leads into the restaurant; a converted 18th century barn with vaulted ceilings which overlooks their enclosed, leafy beer garden.
The skilled kitchen team works with the seasons to create classic British dishes with creative flair, celebrating their own local produce wherever possible, serving hearty and honest British pub food prepared to an exceptionally high standard. The wine list champions small producers and family run vineyards, and they serve an excellent range of local ales behind the bar.
They have eight luxurious bedrooms, with four housed within a refurbished red brick cottage, directly across the road from the pub. Each rooms is bathed in a rustic style, featuring exposed oak beams, kilim fabrics and natural fibres like wicker and sheepskin. The en-suite bathrooms have been designed with relaxation at the top of the agenda: some boast sleek roll-top baths whilst others offer spacious waterfall showers and twin basins.
All accommodation comes with luxury touches such as Hypnos beds, Nespresso machines, super fast WiFi and luxury toiletries. Each room is family friendly and well-behaved dogs are also welcome to stay in the bedrooms, as well as the bar area.
An oasis of calm in the tranquility of the Buckinghamshire countryside, The Pointer has plenty of natural walking and cycling routes to explore nearby. For those aching for some retail therapy, the shopping village at Bicester is a 15-minute drive, meanwhile the iconic city of Oxford is 12 miles from the pub.
