The Crown Inn Old Amersham is a wonderful coaching inn, home to Michelin starred chef Atul Kochhar’s Hawkyns restaurant which serves award winning Pan-Indian cuisine. (Their Michelin starred neighbours The Artichoke, serve innovative modern European cuisine so you will be spoiled for dining choices when booking a stay at The Crown). They will reserve a number of seats in their restaurant for in-house guests but you will need to book this ahead of your arrival date with the reception team directly.
To complement the variety of food, there is a great selection of fine wines and local ales. With inglenook fires, crooked floors, a cobbled courtyard and design that uses the English vernacular, The Crown offers traditional hospitality in a modern coaching inn setting.
At The Crown Inn Old Amersham, they provide simple creature comforts with comfortable mattresses, pure cotton sheets, with extra Jacob’s wool blankets to make you feel at home. The Crown has three separate buildings with bedrooms and four types of rooms which range from spacious to bolthole. Dogs are welcome in their Courtyard Suites and the Standard, Deluxe and Superior rooms in the main inn, although they are not allowed in the restaurant.
The Crown also has a beautiful room available to hire for weddings, private parties, and private dinners. The Courtyard Room is a stunning room with a large Inglewood fire place and bay windows overlooking a cobbled courtyard.
