Things to Do:

Lincoln Cathedral
There is something for everyone. In Lincoln Cathedral the architects of the gothic style perhaps reached the pinnacle of their art. Everywhere you look there is the most intricate detail, walls, roofs elaborated by the finest carving.

Museum of Lincolnshire Life
The Museum’s rich and varied social history collection reflects and celebrates the culture and heritage of Lincolnshire and its people. Exhibits illustrate commercial, domestic, military, agricultural, industrial and community life.

Ellis Windmill
This wonderful Lincoln mill is located on Mill Road, so called due to the nine windmills that formerly faced west over the steep slopes of the Lincoln Edge. Ellis Mill is now the sole survivor of these mills and an excellent example of a small tower mill. The Mill dates from 1798 but there has been a mill on this site from at least the middle of the 17th century.

Gainsthorpe Medieval Village
This abandoned medieval village is one of the best-preserved examples in England, clearly visible as a development of grassy humps and bumps. According to legend demolished as a den of thieves, but the real reason for its abandonment remains uncertain.

Skegness Natureland Seal Sanctuary
Natureland is well known for rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned and wounded seal pups that become stranded on Lincolnshire beaches. Natureland isn’t just seals! There are lots more beautiful and amazing animals. Watch the amusing antics of the penguins, be amazed by the tropical butterflies, squirm at the reptiles and creepy crawlies, feed the goats in the Pets Corner and marvel at the beautiful tropical fish in the Aquarium.
