Visit Southern Snowdonia

Scroll

Snowdonia does not just feature in the far north it also spans east and southwards all the way down to Machynlleth. The southern region of Snowdonia does not have the characteristic rocky mountains of the north but are still impressive in their own rights. Looking across a stunning landscape of traditional farmland, dense forests, beautiful lakes and plenty of space to enjoy exploring.

One of the best places to enjoy the wonders of southern Snowdonia is Bala, a small town famous for white water canoeing, swimming, cycling and triathlons. However, you don’t have to be an elite sportsperson to enjoy Bala, with a wide range of less adventurous activities giving you the chance to try something different as you enjoy the outdoors.

Another great place to visit is Corris, a former slate village with a unique and charming beauty set within the Dyfi Forest. With a wide range of attractions from King Arthur’s Labyrinth, Corris Mine, and Corris Railway and Museum there is plenty to keep your brain ticking over.

Why not combine this with a stay in a pub. Where better to use as a base to explore the region than a luxurious room at a pub. Ideally located in the wonderful Snowdonia countryside you’re staying on the doorstep of one of the most beautiful regions in Britain, what more could you ask for.
