The famous Sir Walter Scott was a resident of the area and you can view his old residence at Abbotsford House and then wander along to Scott’s View referring to Sir Walter Scott’s favourite viewpoint in the Scottish Borders over the River Tweed.

If you’re looking for a more relaxed day out with family or friends a walk along Coldingham Bay and a dip in the sea, depending on the weather, is a great way to explore the picturesque Berwickshire coastline.
