If you’re visiting the area, then the Oak Wheel is an excellent place to base yourself at. The friendly bar with an open log fire welcomes both adults and children alike, whilst in the summer months, there’s a spacious garden for soaking up the sun. The bar offers a range of cask ales as well as wines, spirits and soft drinks for the kids.
If you’re feeling peckish after a day on the beach then the menu and daily specials board offer plenty to tempt. There’s a delicious selection of light bites and sandwiches but also all the pub classics feature including pies and burgers. The a la carte menu showcases lots of local produce including Whitby scampi and locally reared pork and beef. There is, of course, a healthy and varied children’s menu to keep hunger firmly at bay.
The 5 en-suite rooms at the Oak Wheel are elegantly furnished and come equipped with all the modern conveniences you’ll need; TV with Freeview, WiFi, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. The rooms are accessed by a separate entrance next to a car park so you can come and go as you please whilst staying there.
