Thatcham is a historic market town about three miles east of Newbury and 14 miles west of Reading.
Grouse & Claret
The recently refurbished Grouse & Claret is located just a stone’s throw from the Peak District National Park, on the A6 between Matlock and Bakewell and within easy reach of Chesterfield, Sheffield, Derby and Manchester. There are eight well presented en-suite double bedrooms to choose from, and their bar serve premium real ales, a good selection of guest beers and expertly distilled gins.

The Marlborough Arms is a charming 15th century coaching inn which overlooks the historical streets of Woodstock.
