Home to the Surrey Hills of Outstanding Natural Beauty, beautiful gardens, wineries and the magnificent Hampton Court Palace, Surrey is a wonderful place to visit. Just a short distance from London, Surrey is a perfect place to escape to for a long weekend. If you are looking to get out and explore the countryside, a trip to Denbies Wine Estate makes for a lovely day out. The Estate is one of the largest vineyards in England and is situated on the outskirts of Dorking in the Surrey Hills. Visitors to the estate can sample a range of 16 wines and wander around both the indoor and outdoor winery. Spread over acres of vineyard, Denbies is set in beautiful rural countryside and offers a relaxing setting for wine tasting, sightseeing and walking.

Whilst visiting Surrey, it is worth visiting Hampton Court Palace and Gardens. With a pre-booked ticket, visitors can explore the home of Henry VIII, his wives and children and learn about the ongoing public dramas and black tales of death and destruction. Discover the Haunted Gallery, explore the Great Hall and sights and smells of the Tudor kitchens. Outside, you can wander through ornamental gardens, in particular, the Magic Garden and Great Fountain Garden.

Another interesting place to visit during your stay in Surrey, particularly for those interested in automobiles, is the Brooklands Museum. The museum tells the stories of the pioneering men and women that shaped the world of motoring and aviation over the course of history. Visitors can get up close to some of the first aircraft ever designed and discover the interactive collections of cars and motorbikes.
