Warwickshire is a mighty county situated in the heart of England. The county is a top destination to visit if you are interested in history with castles, medieval and Georgian market towns available to discover. Not only that, but Warwickshire is home to stunning countryside and landscapes and is also a great place to explore on foot or by bike, with plenty of things to see and do.

Warwick

Warwick is an ancient town that is home to the magnificent Warwick Castle. Warwick Castle is a great day out for the family as there are shows, interactive experiences, storytelling, demonstrations, activities and more. Warwick itself is a unique town that is quintessentially English with market stalls, independent shops and beautiful countryside.

Warwick is a lively town with plenty of attractions and events occurring throughout the year including concerts and literary festivals. After exploring the castle and countryside, spend the afternoon in a cosy pub and try some of the region’s finest food, made from locally sourced ingredients.

Stratford-upon-Avon

Stratford is world famous for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Located on the River Avon, Stratford is a vibrant and charming town. There’s so much to see and do and visitors can learn all about William Shakespeare’s life at five historic houses, plenty of sightseeing tours and attractions. Like much of Warwickshire, Stratford-upon-Avon is set in beautiful surroundings and countryside. It’s a great destination if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life.

Attractions in Stratford include Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s cottage, Bancroft Gardens, The Royal Shakespeare Company, and boat trips along the River Avon.

Royal Leamington Spa

Located in the south of Warwickshire is Royal Leamington Spa a town made up of Georgian and Victorian buildings, charming squares and majestic gardens. Leamington Spa is a vibrant and busy town perfect for those in need of a bit of retail therapy! There’s a mixture of both independent boutiques to larger labels and brands.

Royal Leamington Spa is also home to some fantastic pubs, restaurants and bars. The Royal Pump Rooms are now a cultural and tourism complex that is home to the town’s Museum, Art Gallery, Library and Tourist Information Centre, alongside the elegant Regency-style Assembly Rooms and a traditional café.

Kenilworth

When visiting Warwickshire, a trip to Kenilworth is a must. Kenilworth is a small market town but is packed full of exciting and interesting shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes. It’s a great place to relax and put your feet up.

Kenilworth Castle is Warwickshire’s second largest castle and is a great place to visit when with the family. Kenilworth Castle puts on events throughout the year and is home to the gorgeous Elizabethan Gardens.

Other must visits when in Kenilworth include: Parliament Piece, a 14 acre nature reserve, Millenium Walks, The Clock Tower, and The Kenliworth Greenway.
