Telegraph Travel wrote: “It’s easy to get it wrong when revamping a classic village green pub but the Chestnut group have a pretty good track record, and at the Weeping Willow – with the help of good foundations laid by the previous owners – they have pretty much nailed what an affordable 21st-century country inn should be.” Expert Rating 8/10
Food & Drink
Food is a central part of The Weeping Willow experience. The kitchen focuses on seasonal British dishes and menus change regularly to reflect the seasons, with a mix of comforting pub classics and more refined plates. Whether you are enjoying a leisurely lunch, an intimate supper or a traditional Sunday roast, the atmosphere is welcoming and unfussy. Behind the bar, you will find local ales, a well-considered wine list and a range of premium spirits. It is wise to book ahead for dining, particularly at weekends and during peak periods. In the summertime, relax, sit back, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy al fresco drinking and dining in the garden.
