At the heart of this pub is their friendly bar which has the traditional character of an English country inn, but with continental influences. The bar is flanked by comfortable dining areas, warmed through the winter by a generous log fire.
The Trooper stock a wide range of excellent beers from the best local breweries, which include several real ales, stored and served with care, to guarantee a first class pint. They also have an eclectic wine and spirit list and they serve a great cup of coffee too.
Their food is freshly prepared using the best local ingredients, so expect pub classics, options for guests with dietary requirements, and a popular Sunday roast.
There are eight comfortable en-suite bedrooms to choose from with one named Stoner, having disabled and wheelchair access with bathing facilities. Dogs are welcome on request with prior acknowledgement in certain rooms.
Each bedroom comes with fresh towels and linen, comfortable beds, a TV, telephone, tea & coffee making facilities and WiFi access.
Petersfield is a market town, around 15 miles north of Portsmouth. The pub is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but their bedrooms can be booked every day of the week.
