This gorgeous former coaching inn has been welcoming guests for well over 400 years. The Swan has always been a central part of village life, and was brought back to life and re-opened after a fabulous restoration in late 2020.
Their restaurant has exposed beams and open fireplaces, and serves beautifully crafted pub classics and refined dishes. Their menus are created from the finest, seasonal local ingredients, they cater well for guests with dietary requirements, and they also serve a delicious breakfast.
The warm, inviting and friendly bar serves award winning cask ales, (many of which are sourced from local breweries), craft lagers, ciders, a short and considered wine list, an artisan gin shelf and a fine selection of malt whiskies. Their pretty courtyard garden is also a popular spot from which to relax and enjoy al fresco drinks in the sunshine.
The Swan has 16 bedrooms, which comprise of nine double rooms, four twin rooms, one family room, one four poster room and a gorgeous suite.
Each room comes with an en-suite bathroom, super comfortable beds, the finest bed linen, fluffy towels, a TV, tea & coffee making facilities and WiFi access.
Dogs are welcome with prior acknowledgement with the pub in a select number of bedrooms.
Tarporley is situated on the Sandstone Trail, and has a multitude of walking trails on their doorstep, through the scenic Cheshire Plains and into Shropshire. Beeston Castle is a ten minute drive away and the city’s cathedral, zoo and racecourse are all within ten miles of the pub.
