The Royal Oak offers the highest quality bar/restaurant dining 7 days a week and superbly appointed bedrooms which include several Four Poster King Rooms, Twins and Doubles. Clean and well behaved dogs are welcome in some of the bedrooms and the bar.
Here at the Royal Oak Exmoor they have menus that change with the seasons in both the bar dining areas and restaurant dining rooms. The chef’s specials board is updated daily and they have a lighter bites menu at lunchtimes with homemade filled rolls, starters, light meals and the Royal Oak Favourites. Everything is cooked to order wherever possible and they appreciate guests understanding at busy times as they prepare the dishes from fresh ingredients. Only locally sourced produce is used if at all possible and all starters, pies, sauces, desserts, breads and ice creams are homemade.
The 10 en-suite rooms at the Royal Oak Exmoor Hotel are all individual and have their own character. They’re all equipped with the luxury extras to make their guest’s stay as comfortable as possible, including a hospitality tray with Border biscuits and fresh coffee. All rooms have Freesat TV/ DVD players and direct dial telephones. There is WiFi access throughout and every bathroom has a power shower over bath with luxurious white towels, bath sheets and toiletries.
They have a choice of King Size, Four-Poster Kings, a Super King Four-poster Suite and Twin rooms. They also have newly refurbished Courtyard Double rooms with ground floor access. For the best possible sleep experience they only use the finest Alpaca Duvets and Pillows made with the highest grade Egyptian Cottons. They’re pleased to accommodate clean and well behaved dogs in some of the bedrooms.
