Influenced by their love of provincial country cuisine their ethos is seriously good, uncomplicated food, prepared from fresh ingredients and cooked with passion to provide incredibly tasty dishes.
Their steaks are dry aged to over forty days and include fillet, sirloin, rib-eye, picanha (a specialty rump cut popular in Argentina) and their signature steak prime rib cooked on the bone. In addition to creating a unique niche for steak lovers their menu offers a delight for all foodies who just love simple dishes with superior ingredients cooked exceptionally well. The snug bar features a large log fire and usually serves three cask ales chosen from the local region, an eclectic wine choice and for a night cap a range of brandies and whiskies.
The beautiful bedrooms at The Red Pump Inn have been designed with a nod to casual French elegance, each distinctive in their own right with a mix of French antique pieces and rustic wrought iron style bed frames.
Each of their eight en-suite bedrooms have been individually designed with heritage colours and rustic fabrics. Beds are all kingsize at the very least, some super kingsize with the option to convert to twins, memory foam orthopaedic mattresses and anti-allergy pillows and bedding to ensure a blissful night. The Red Pump Inn also welcomes well behaved dogs for an extra nominal nightly charge although this is at the pub’s discretion.
Guests can also enjoy a night under the stars in their yurts which come complete with a king size bed, fur throws, a cosy wood burning stove and electric lights and sockets. In addition a day bed provides a chill out seating area by day while two further single beds at night.
With origins dating back to 1756 The Red Pump inn enjoys stunning views across the Ribble Valley to the legendary Pendle Hill and Longridge Fell.
