The pub offers a well-crafted menu full of tasty food at affordable prices. Complemented by the substantial cocktail menu, guests have plenty of choice when it comes to dining. The Portland Hotel features a bright and spacious Wetherspoons restaurant and there’s also a large and hearty breakfast menu is also available to guests to order after a comfortable night’s sleep.
The pub has 22 en-suite bedrooms as part of its inventory, offering a mixture of twin, double and family rooms. They are filled with a variety of amenities, including Freeview TVs, tea and coffee making facilities and unlimited WiFi.
The Portland Hotel requires guests to contact them prior to arrival if wanting to book a parking space onsite for a nominal fee. The pub has seven spaces issued at one per room on a first come, first served basis. However there is additional public parking nearby. Wetherspoons also has a no pet policy.
Chesterfield itself is a charming market town, with plenty of local traders to bargain with and other shops to browse. For a more rural day out, the pub is less than five miles from the eastern edge of the Peak District National Park. For public transport, Chesterfield Railway Station is a 10-minute walk and bus stops can be found all throughout the town.
