Formerly known as the White Lion Public House, they were re-named The Old Pound Inn in 1980, as the Inn stands on the ground of the old village pound. The bar, with an open Dutch wood burner, pool table, dartboard and juke box is the heart of the pub offering a varying selection of West Country beers pulled from the sprung stillage in the cellar of this large 16th-century village pub. Dogs are welcome in the bar at this traditional village inn, please keep them on a lead. They also host monthly live music and quizzes, so do get in touch if you are interested in coming along to one of these evenings.

Langport is an ancient market town at the heart of the Somerset Levels, strategically placed at a crossing point over the River Parrett. Its central location makes Langport both a thriving hub for the neighbouring villages, and an ideal base to explore, by car, on foot or by bike, the surrounding nearby towns such as Yeovil, Taunton, Bridgwater, Street and Glastonbury, and the flora and fauna of the Somerset Levels, one of England’s most unchanged landscapes.
