The King’s Arms Dorchester serves seasonal and indulgent multi-course feasts and the simplest of snacks, which can be enjoyed in the restaurant, bar, or old smoking room. Their menus feature refined pub classics, sides, indulgent desserts, West Country cheeses, imaginative choices for guests with dietary requirements, good options for children, and a brilliant Sunday roast.
The bar and snug are an inviting space with open fires, comfy sofas, and large window seats. The bar is well-stocked with an eclectic range of local craft beers, West Country ciders, local ales, fabulous cocktails, artisan spirits, a characterful wine list, and interesting non-alcoholic options.
Outside, their terrace is a delightful spot from which to socialise and enjoy al fresco drinks and dining in the warm sunshine.

The King’s Arms has 28 beautiful en-suite bedrooms, each of which comes with original features, vintage finds, playful, modern furniture, and bespoke lighting. There is a choice of Epic doubles which come with in-room roll-top baths, Plush doubles, Fancy doubles, Comfy doubles, Cosy doubles, and Snug rooms.
Each en-suite bedroom comes with a Smart TV, Pure radio, Nespresso machine, kettle and parlour cupboard with teas, coffees, and treats, a hairdryer, Bramley natural bath and body products, and WiFi access.
Dogs are welcome on request, with prior acknowledgement directly with the pub, for a nominal additional surcharge per dog.
Additional Z beds are available for children up to 12 years old on request directly with the pub, advance of arrival.
Breakfast is a real treat and includes a full King’s Arms, smashed avocado, smoked Chalk Stream trout omelettes, and freshly baked croissants.
The pub has parking available at the rear which can be accessed from Friary Lane.
