The restaurant at the Great Western serves pub favourites, local seafood, dishes from the grill, sides, indulgent puddings, a Sunday roast, and good options for children, and guests with dietary requirements. Outside, their terrace and garden have spectacular sea views and are the perfect place from which to enjoy al fresco drinking in the summertime.
The open-plan bar is well-stocked with award-winning St Austell flagship beers, limited edition brews, artisan spirits, an eclectic wine list, and interesting non-alcoholic choices.
The Great Western has a great mix of single, double, twin, family, and value rooms, some of which come with coastal views. Each comfortable bedroom comes with complimentary toiletries, a TV, hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities, and WiFi access.
Dogs are welcome on request, with prior acknowledgement directly with the pub in a few specially selected rooms at a nominal additional charge per dog, per night.
Breakfast is a real treat and is served daily.
There is extremely limited chargeable parking at the pub, which requires pre-booking and is subject to availability. There are two public pay and display car parks a short walk away on Tolcarne and Narrowcliff roads. There are EV charging points at Tolcarne car park.
The pub is the ideal base camp from which to explore and enjoy Cornwall’s dramatic north coast and its golden beaches.
