The Foinavon

The Foinavon is named after the racehorse who was the unexpected winner of the 1967 Grand National, following a 28-horse pile up at the 23rd fence. They are located in the high street, in the village of Compton, in the Berkshire Downs about six miles south of Didcot. They have six en-suite bedrooms, and are popular with business travellers, and guests from Newbury, Oxford, and Reading.
