Arriving at the The Cartford Inn, you are greeted with local hospitality and the warmth of an open fire. Here you can enjoy some of the best food and drink the region has to offer in one of their uniquely charming, individually furnished dining areas. The bar alcoves and fireside areas allow for relaxed, informal dining experiences, whilst the River Lounge restaurant boasts panoramic riverscape views. On Summer evenings these views can be enjoyed whilst eating or drinking on the newly landscaped al-fresco dining terrace.
They have turned their attentions to diversifying the range of drinks they offer. As you would expect from a modern dining pub, they’ve always had a great selection of quality cask ales, wines and spirits. You’ll also notice that the selection of single malt whiskies, brandies, bourbons, rums, liqueurs and particularly gins has expanded. They’ve begun to offer more craft bottled beers and interesting wines by the glass and are making curious soft drinks made-to-order using fresh ingredients.
The menu is an expression of Lancashire’s food culture and a showcase of the region’s best produce. The Cartford Inn use local and seasonal ingredients wherever possible, prepared sensitively and skilfully by the chefs. This includes seafood from Fleetwood docks, meat from nearby farms and locally shot game, which features prominently during the season. Alongside favourite British dishes, you’ll find more innovative flavours, as well as a discernible proprietary French influence.
Each of the 15 luxury bedrooms, including the penthouse suite, is individually decorated and furnished with the same style and attention to detail as the rest of the inn. You can wake up to stunning views overlooking the river and enjoy an award-winning breakfast.
