The Black Horse Climping dates to the 17th century when it was a smugglers inn and re-opened in March 2024.

Each bedroom is different and has been entirely reconfigured and renovated with fresh new bathrooms, beautiful wallpapers, and locally sourced antique furniture.
Choose from two room categories located on the first floor: East and West.
East – These rooms have king size beds and bathrooms with generous showers. Two of these rooms have a rooftop balcony overlooking the fields towards the coast.
West – These rooms have king size or twin beds and bathrooms with generous showers. Two of these rooms have roll top bathtubs.
Each room comes with modern bathrooms, fluffy towels, a TV, complimentary tea & coffee tray, hairdryer, and WiFi access.
Dog friendly? Yes, dogs are welcome on request with prior acknowledgement directly with the pub. Nominal additional charges per dog, per night apply.
Breakfast is a real treat. Choose from The Black Horse full English, homemade waffles, and healthy options such as avocado with poached eggs.
