The Bird in Hand was a former hunting lodge of King George 111 and inside you will find a pub with bundles of rustic charm, oak beams, wood panelling and an open fire.
They serve classic pub food with a twist, with their delicious menus inspired by the seasons and focusing on fresh, local ingredients. Their Sunday roast is very popular, their menus include good choices for those guests with dietary requirements and they also have a dedicated children’s menu.
Their bar offers a selection of award winning beer from their very own Butcombe Brewery, and their menus and daily specials also feature their very own ales like their Butcombe Gold beer battered fish and chips. They also serve an eclectic range of ciders and cocktails and the courtyard garden is the perfect spot to enjoy a pint when the sun is shining.
