Tarr Farm Inn is committed to offering some of the finest dining experiences in Exmoor. They make full use of the abundance of excellent produce that surrounds them – Exmoor lamb, Devon Red Ruby beef, fresh Cornish seafood, local venison and game all feature in the restaurant and provide real local flavour. They take classic dishes and give them a contemporary twist to create exciting menus with influences from around the world. Larger parties may like to eat in the Oak Room, a wonderful private dining area that has its own bar, an oval table seating up to 19 and sofas to relax on.
Breakfast at Tarr Farm is a great way to begin the day; choose an extravagant full English, try their smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, warming cinnamon porridge with Exmoor honey or a simple Continental style breakfast.
Each of their nine bedrooms have been designed to provide every modern comfort. Fresh and contemporary, the bedrooms and bathrooms are generously proportioned with little luxuries such as organic bath products, power showers and full size baths, the fluffiest bathrobes, towels and Egyptian cotton sheets. Dogs are welcome in some of the rooms and they can provide feed bowls, blankets and towels for canine guests.
There are so many ways in which to enjoy the incredible surroundings of Tarr Farm. Exmoor offers some of the most spectacular walking in the country with its beautiful, tranquil moorland and stunning views towards Wales and Dartmoor. Wildlife abounds with red deer, the famous Exmoor ponies, a thriving bat population and even otters. Bird watchers will find themselves in heaven – Exmoor boasts 243 species of bird.
