Step inside this Grade II listed village pub and you will find oodles of charm and character, open fires, beamed ceilings, fresh flowers, and open fires. Mariella Frostrup wrote in The Telegraph that The Royal Oak was “A blueprint for the perfect low-key bolt hole”.
The Royal Oak serves exceptional pub food, and their menus feature comforting pub classics, refined dishes, tempting sides, indulgent puddings, a cracking Sunday roast, and interesting choices for guests with dietary requirements. Their menus are created from the finest, local, and seasonal ingredients.
The welcoming bar is well-stocked with an eclectic choice of beers and real ales, fine wines, artisan spirits, mixers, and a carefully selected range of non-alcoholic options. Outside, their courtyard garden is a delightful spot from which to enjoy a gin & tonic in the sunshine.
The pub has five beautifully decorated, characterful bedrooms, one of which is family friendly. Each en-suite room comes with comfy beds, fresh towels & linen, a Smart TV, bathrobes, and WiFi access.
Breakfast is a real treat and includes a full English, and healthier options such as smoked salmon on sourdough with scrambled eggs, or yoghurt, granola with berries.
Dogs are welcome on request, with prior acknowledgement directly with the pub for a nominal additional charge per dog, per night.
The tranquil village of Ramsden sits in the north eastern edge of the Cotswolds and is a haven for walkers, ramblers, and cyclists. Chipping Norton is just over ten miles north, and the City of Oxford is about a forty-minute drive away by car.
