Telegraph Travel wrote: “Situated in rural Suffolk, not only is The Crown a brilliant country escape that’s easily reached from London, there’s also loads to see in the surrounding area. It remains at heart a gastropub with rooms and does well to combine its role as a destination dining venue with that of a popular village local.” Expert Rating 8/10

Food & Drink

Food is central to the experience at the Crown. The kitchen focuses on seasonal British dishes, created from locally sourced produce. Menus change with the seasons, offering hearty, comforting plates in the cooler months and lighter, fresh flavours during spring and summer. Breakfast is served daily for guests, setting you up for a day of walking or sightseeing. Lunch and supper are relaxed yet refined, with traditional favourites sitting alongside creative daily specials. Behind the bar, you will find well-kept ales, a thoughtful wine list and artisan spirits, making it just as inviting for an evening drink with friends as it is for a full dining experience.
