Originally built as a striking manor house in 1901, The Raven now lives on as a pub with hotel-style rooms full of wood-panelling, exposed beams and cosy log fires. The pub is renowned for its history of illustrious guests, including Edward VIII and Enid Blyton, with Blyton writing the first of her hundreds of famous books in this very pub!
