The Dorset Arms was built in 1595, became a pub in 1735, and was named after the Earls and Dukes of Dorset.
Their delicious, seasonal menus showcase the very best local produce and feature popular specials, British classics, game dishes, and good choices for guests with dietary requirements.
Drinks and lite bites can be enjoyed in their warm and friendly snug bar, which serves a selection of cask beers on tap and guest beers, showcasing local beers from independent brewers in and around Sussex. Their fireside bar is also well-stocked with a good range of spirits, vodkas, gins, and a considered wine list.
Outside, their country gardens are the perfect spot from which to socialise, read the papers, take in the views, and enjoy your favourite drink in the sunshine. Their Garden Room, with its retractable roof, is available for everyday dining and private functions, and there are also three private drinks/dining lodges.
Their nine inviting bedrooms combine comfort with home-from-home style and comprise double, twin, and family rooms. Three of their bedrooms are located above the pub, and a further six in The Old School Cottage, which is just a short walk through the garden.
Each en-suite bedroom comes with big, comfortable beds, fluffy towels, complimentary toiletries, Nespresso machines, a TV, and WiFi access. A delicious, hearty full English breakfast is included in your stay.
Dogs are welcome on request, with prior acknowledgment directly with the pub for a nominal additional nightly charge. There are also dog-friendly tables in both the bar and their restaurant.
This gorgeous country pub is nestled on the edge of Ashdown Forest, just a short drive from Royal Tunbridge Wells. The surrounding area is a haven for walkers, cyclists, and nature enthusiasts.
