With burning log fires, delicious freshly made food, local real ales, a well stocked wine cellar and a great pub atmosphere the Red Lion makes for a handsome retreat. There is also a seating area outside the front of the pub where you can enjoy a drink gazing out over the surrounding countryside.
The Red Lion are extremely proud of their seasonal menu and the produce is locally sourced with home grown vegetables. Choose from light bites and burgers perfect to enjoy with a pint or pan fried catch of the day, twice cooked pork belly or rib-eye steak matched with one of their wines from around the world. If you have a sweet tooth their warm fruit crumble or sticky toffee pudding will hit the spot.
They boast six welcoming and comfortable bedrooms that have all been carefully modernised to a luxurious standard to provide cosy Northumberland accommodation. All the rooms are packed with little luxuries to ensure a relaxing stay including a TV, digital alarm clock, tea, coffee and biscuits, capsule coffee machine, kettle, ironing facilities, fresh linen, fluffy towels, toiletries and free WiFi. Some of the bedrooms are also dog friendly for a small additional fee.
