They have a casual dining room and a menu that follows a field-to-fork ethos with much of the game, lamb and vegetables used in the dishes grown on the Faccombe farm & estate. The menu is varied, full of British pub classics done well. At the end of your meal why not sample one of their liquid desserts, a collection of sweet and delicious cocktails.
They boast 11 elegant bedrooms, three in the pub and eight in a separate lodge. The deluxe Great Dane and Bulldog rooms are popular with French doors opening on to their own private balcony, the perfect place to watch the sun setting over the Hampshire downlands. As you may expect with their canine focus, the Jack Russell also has dog friendly bedrooms.
Set in the North Downs, on the Hampshire Berkshire border, The Jack Russell is nestled in the beautiful Roman village of Faccombe. There are plenty of walking and cycling routes to explore locally, as well as fishing spots and golf courses nearby. Highclere Castle, better known by some as the real Downton Abbey, is only six miles down the road and Newbury racecourse only ten miles away.
This pub is part of Cirrus Inns, an eclectic collection of fabulous pubs, proud to celebrate all the great things that Britain stands for; the glorious countryside, fabulous traditions, incredible hospitality and amazing ingredients.
