As you make your way inside via the local timber and glass porch you will find a quintessentially English pub bar, the countertop of which is made from old pennies and dates back to Valentine’s Day 1971.
Their menus consist of dishes that showcase the best of the season’s fare using locally grown organic vegetables, responsibly sourced meat, fish and game that help support local producers and ensure you enjoy a true taste of the British countryside when you dine with them.
They support local brewers and have several real cask ales on tap, as well as rotating guest ales, British ciders and a wine cellar featuring a selection of carefully chosen bottles.
You can also choose to while away the hours in their Garden Room, a charmingly casual light and airy dining area with floor to ceiling glass overlooking the garden, filled with fragrant potted plants and curiosities to make you feel at home over lunch or afternoon tea.
This pub is home to 8 stunning, newly refurbished en-suite bedrooms decorated in a gorgeous country house style with luxury white linens and well appointed bathrooms complete with vegan and environmentally friendly British bath and body products.
5 riverside en-suite bedrooms, each featuring a private terrace allow you to sit with a cup of Nespresso coffee and enjoy the canal’s array of wildlife. Upstairs houses 3 more impressive double en-suite bedrooms, one of which is a deluxe suite with a free standing roll-top tub. Each of their lovely river rooms are dog friendly, with a small extra charge per dog.
