The Exmoor Forest Inn serves a daily changing menu, which they believe to be some of the most sustainable, local, and delicious food on offer in any pub in the British Isles. Their delicious menus feature refined dishes, wonderfully fresh fish, seriously good sides, indulgent puddings, local cheeses, interesting options for guests with dietary requirements, and a brilliant Sunday roast.
The well-stocked bar serves local cask ales on tap, a selection of lagers and pale ales, various local craft beers, and an eclectic wine list.
The Exmoor Forest Inn’s gorgeous bedrooms come with pocket-sprung beds, deep baths, big showers, a TV with Freesat, and WiFi access. The family suite consists of a large bedroom with super king bed, bathroom, and a sitting room with sofa bed for children aged under 12.
There is also a two-bedroom cottage adjoining the pub which can be booked on a self-catering basis, and another cottage hidden away up along a private stone track, about a mile away.
Dogs are welcome on request, with prior acknowledgement directly with the pub, for an additional small charge.
Breakfast is a real treat and there is parking for overnight guests.
The River Barle runs through the village and offers a mile long stretch of the best wild trout and salmon fishing. The Exmoor National Park is a haven for walkers, horse riders, and nature enthusiasts.
