Cycling in Shropshire is a brilliant way to explore the county. What better way to take in the idyllic scenery on display in Shropshire than through one of the many cycle trails that traverse the rolling hills, picturesque market towns and along historic sites such as the Iron Bridge and Ludlow Castle. With Shropshire being one of the more scarcely populated regions of the UK the cycle routes, country lanes and bridleways will be tranquil and ready to explore.

With many cycle trails offering breathtaking views, cycling around Shropshire is a great way to explore. If you don’t want to bring your own bikes with you, Wheely Wonderful Cycling has a range of bikes to hire from kids bikes to trial and mountain bikes, also providing helmets, tools and maps to help rookie cyclists in the region. If you prefer to get the adrenaline pumping and want to try mountain biking, head to the Shropshire Hills Mountain Bike and Outdoor Pursuit Centre. Housing all the facilities ‘under one roof’, it has a restaurant, campsite and extensive range of mountain trails and offer routes for beginners and experienced riders. With PGL also located in Shropshire, there are plenty of things to do for all the family.
