Characterised by its quaint towns and villages and rolling green hills, the Cotswolds runs through five counties: Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire. It is one of the most visited regions in the UK and very popular with tourists coming from overseas. Covering almost 800 square miles, the Cotswolds are renowned for its quaint market towns, golden stone houses, sleepy villages and picturesque countryside.

There’s a vibrant buzz in places like Cheltenham, Cirencester, Tewkesbury Stroud and Witney. And an arty heartbeat too – which extends to the wealth of festivals that are testimony to the creative vibe of the region.

The Cotswolds are largely rural and have more than 3,000 miles of footpaths and bridleways, perfect for ramblers and hikers to explore. There is also 4,000 miles of historic Cotswold stone walls dividng up the landscape.

The Cotswolds provide a rich harvest of local cheeses, meats and drinks, which are common staples on gastro pubs and traditional country inns.
