Situated in the southwest of England and straddling the River Avon, Bristol is a cultural hub and vibrant city, full of bars, restaurants, shopping centres and a harbour.

Whether you are planning on sightseeing, or simply sitting in a coffee shop watching the day go by, Bristol has a unique charm which attracts thousands of visitors each year.  Known for its creative graffiti, vintage shops, bustling nightlife and quirky cafes, there is so much to see and explore whilst visiting the city.

The Clifton Suspension Bridge is Bristol’s most poignant structure. First opened in 1864, the grade 1 listed bridge is considered Brunel’s most impressive structure.

Whilst in Bristol, we recommend taking a ferry around the harbour and explore the various waterways. Bristol Ferry Boats offer a jump on, jump off service. For those hoping to wine and dine on the boat, whilst admiring the views, Bristol Packet Boats offer afternoon tea and lunch trips up the River Avon, as well as day trips to Bath.

For those who fancy a bit of retail therapy, there is an abundance of independent shops and retail centres.  The Mall Cribbs Causeway and Cabot Circus are some of the best places for shopping in Bristol.

If you fancy going for a long walk or cycle ride, take a trip to the Downs, which stretches from the top of Whiteladies Road all the way to the Suspension Bridge. The Downs offers stunning views of the Avon Gorge and Suspension Bridge.
