The Tan Hill Inn

Claiming the title of Britain’s highest public house, The Tan Hill Inn stands at 1,732 feet (528m) above sea level. This historic inn, dating back to the 17th century, showcases the pub’s history with wooden beams, stone-flagged floors, and a crackling fire. The Black Swan

The Black Swan Inn is a beautiful Victorian inn found in the North of The Yorkshire Dales national park in the village of Ravenstonedale. The inn features fireplaces, cosy corners, and poster beds, all of which create an inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. The pub has received numerous local and national accolades, including recent recognition as a finalist at the Cumbrian Food Awards and a spot on the Estrella Damm Top Gastropubs list. 

Gamekeeper’s Inn

The Gamekeeper’s Inn was once a gamekeeper’s cottage for nearby Netherside Hall. Now a stylish and luxurious getaway, the pub boasts 11 bright and stylish en-suite bedrooms, suitable for all guests. One of the rooms is an accessible deluxe on the ground floor, equipped with assisted bathroom fittings such as handrails and a sit-down wet room. Instead of staying in one of the rooms in the main pub, you could choose to stay in one of the pub’s four fabulous lodges, each sleeping up to six guests and one of which being dog-friendly.

The Red Lion

Sitting on the banks of the River Wharfe is The Red Lion, a 16th century, dog-friendly inn. Each of the pub bedrooms are beautifully decorated and have some scenic views over the village green and the Yorkshire Dales. The pub is also home to five holiday cottages on the river’s banks in addition to rooms in the Manor House, a short stroll from the inn.

Black Bull Inn

The front exterior of the pub features in the popular remake of All Creatures Great and Small (on channel 5 since 2020).
