Sitting proudly on the square and surrounding by independent shops, they serve traditional home-cooked pub food, daily specials, fresh seafood, yummy puddings, a Sunday roast and interesting choices for guests with dietary requirements.
The Devonshire is part of Timothy Taylor’s pub estate, one of the UK’s oldest family-owned breweries with over 160 years’ heritage of brewing award-winning ales. Their Landlord has won more awards than any other beer, winning both CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain and the Brewing Industry Awards Gold Medal four times. Established in 1858, the company remains in the family and is the last independent brewery of its type left in West Yorkshire.
Their bar is well-stocked with a wonderful selection of ales, an eclectic wine list, artisan gins and mixers and freshly ground coffee.
Outside, to the front of the pub there are tables and seating for guests wanting to enjoy al fresco drinks in the sunshine.
The Devonshire has eight beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms, comprising of standard double, large double and suites. Several bedrooms are suitable for family and dog friendly stays, and each room comes with a Smart TV, tea & coffee making facilities and WiFi access.
Breakfast is a real treat and includes Mrs Hall’s Traditional Yorkshire Breakfast and lighter options. Short term public parking is available in the square outside to unload, and then overnight in Grassington National Park Centre car park a short walk away.
Grassington is the beating heart of the Yorkshire Dales and the surrounding villages in Upper Wharfedale. The local area is a haven for walkers, cyclists, historians, and nature enthusiasts.
