The pub dates back to the 18th century and the cosy and welcoming atmosphere is heightened by the warmth of the log fire, the original oak beams and the fabulous team who are dedicated to making your visit as enjoyable as possible. The pub is known for its attentive and friendly staff for whom nothing is too much trouble and will make any visitor feel at home with their easy Yorkshire charm.
The food at the Queen’s Head is focused on showcasing the best produce the local farmers and suppliers have to offer. There’s plenty to tempt on the menu and dishes are cooked to order, so settle in and enjoy the buzzing atmosphere. Lunch guests will enjoy the spectacular views from the dining room overlooking the woods and rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales. For those wishing to celebrate, there’s a private room which seats 12 people and the versatile main dining room can be used for weddings or larger celebrations for up to 150 people.
The three bedrooms are modestly furnished but they have fabulous views, en-suite bathrooms and are dog friendly (for a small, additional fee). All rooms include a TV, toiletries and tea & coffee making facilities along with home-made biscuits. A wholesome and hearty breakfast is included in the price.
Finghall is located within easy reach of the A1 and just a few miles from the Yorkshire Dales National Parks. Outdoor activities are plentiful and the surrounding countryside offers spectacular walks and opportunities for exploring on horseback or by bicycle.
