Set in 36 acres of parkland just outside Grimsby, Healing Manor Hotel offers stylish accommodation in this Lincolnshire Country House. The former residence to the Portman family, having recently undergone a stunning refurbishment, they offer 37, beautiful and individually styled bedrooms.
Guests can choose to stay in the main manor house, the converted stables, the lakeside barn rooms or one of the rooms in the converted boathouse. Guests can dine in the extremely popular Pig & Whistle pub, open seven days a week, serving both à la carte and pub favourites. The Portman Restaurant is also open on selected days serving different themed afternoon teas.
All of the dishes at The Pig & Whistle are prepared in the kitchens at the Healing Manor Hotel using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients from in and around Lincolnshire. Alongside their classic pub menu they offer a children’s, toddler and dog-friendly menu, making the whole family welcome. Their menu is served Monday to Saturday and you can enjoy a delicious traditional Sunday Lunch menu on Sunday and a specials menu during Sunday evenings.
They welcome well behaved dogs into the pub and gardens seven days a week and your beloved pooches have their own menu, which even boasts allergens for any dogs suffering with dietary needs. The small but ample dog menu includes a free range turkey casserole, protein bowl, scrambled eggs and seasonal dessert with peanut butter. If you are staying the night, their pet friendly service includes a dog bowl for water, a delicious dog friendly meal, complimentary dog treats and emergency poop-bags behind the bar. Dogs are charged £20 for an overnight stay.
The Pig & Whistle serves a great variety of beers including their bespoke brew from local brewery Axeholme, alongside a delicious selection of gin’s, wines, fizz and soft drinks.
Their extensive grounds are constantly evolving – not only season by season but also as their voyage of discovery unearths hidden horticultural oasis’s. The formal and landscaped gardens, grace the immediate surroundings of the Manor House and outbuildings. They are surrounded by landscaped woodland and extensive lawned areas making the perfect backdrop for any Healing Manor Wedding.
Many areas of the gardens are stocked with seasonal herbs, fruits, vegetables and flowers which are foraged and freshly picked for use in the kitchen. Guests can enjoy their homegrown produce on their seasonal menus in The Pig and Whistle.
