The village of Wentworth is peaceful and picturesque with Yorkshire stone houses lining the streets yet is only a 30-minute drive from Sheffield. The Rockingham Arms, set in the heart of the village, is a cosy and friendly pub which is popular with locals, business travellers or those celebrating a wedding or special occasion.
The bar is cosy with a roaring log fire, battered leather chairs and sofas and exposed brickwork. There are usually a few four-legged friends at their masters’ feet; dogs are very welcome in the bar area. The menu is good value and varied with food served throughout the day so you’ll never be left hungry. The kitchen uses seasonal ingredients, locally sourced, and there are plenty of different options to please even the most particular of palates. If you’re looking to celebrate, or hold a business meeting, then there’s a large private room available which can seat up to 70 guests.

There’s masses to do around Wentworth. The Rockingham Arms is only a 15-minute walk away from Wentworth Woodhouse, a stately home with a fascinating past. The Peak District is a short drive away, as well as the Yorkshire Wildlife Park and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. For those with children, a trip to the Magna Science Adventure Centre is a must.
