Four Stay in a Pub ‘Recommended’ Pubs Named Among Best Pubs in the UK

The 2022 edition of The National Pub & Bar Awards was held in mid-April, with four of our ‘Recommended’ pubs listed on Stay in a Pub taking home an award naming them the best in their respective counties.

The National Pub & Bar Awards aims to put exemplary on-trade businesses across the UK in the national spotlight, showcasing the hospitality industry’s diversity, creativity and vital importance to the UK economy. As such, we’re delighted to congratulate and showcase the four pubs we work closely with that received their impressive accolades.

Here are four of our ‘Recommended’ pubs that have been named among the best:

Gloucestershire Pub of the Year Winner: The Frogmill, Cheltenham

Nestled in the sweeping Gloucestershire countryside, The Frogmill sits between vibrant Cotswold villages and provides a picture perfect escape. The George Townhouse is an award winning pub, situated in the heart of the beautiful Warwickshire town of Shipston-on-Stour, seen as the gateway to the Cotswolds. This elegant coaching inn has 15 bedrooms, including a gorgeous suite, and they are life and soul of this wonderful market town.

Clwyd Pub of the Year Winner: The West Arms, Llangollen

The West Arms is a historic, 16th century pub, perfectly situated in an idyllic setting in the Welsh foothills of the Berwyn Mountain. This multi award-winning, dog friendly pub, have 16 characterful bedrooms which come with unforgettable views. Snowdonia National Park is close by, as are Chirk and Powis Castles, the picturesque town of Llangollen and Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall.

Cambridgeshire Pub of the Year Winner: The Three Hills, Bartlow

The Three Hills is a charming country pub with luxurious en-suite bedrooms and well-established restaurant. There is also an extensive patio and beautifully landscaped garden which provides a wonderful backdrop for al fresco drinking and dining during the warmer months. Bartlow is a pretty village about 12 miles south east of Cambridge and seven miles west of Haverhill.
