The menu at The Royal Oak changes most days and always reflects the seasons.
Depending on the time of year they serve their own lamb and beef and always their own pork, bacon, sausages and eggs. Their milk and vegetables come from just a few miles down the road and they source their watercress, rhubarb and courgettes from their neighbours.
The bar always has a range of real ales from Arkell’s, organic soft drinks and wines, an eclectic range of gins and whiskies and delicious cordials too.
Their inviting en-suite bedrooms are a world away from the crowd, set away from the pub and in a shared courtyard. Each room comes with an en-suite shower room, fluffy towels, crisp cotton linen, a TV, hairdryer, WiFi access and tea & coffee making facilities. Two bedrooms are dog friendly; Kate’s Folly and Barn Field.
Circular walks to The Ridgeway National Trail that runs across the farm start from their front door. The farm boundaries to the south give access to thousands more acres of open land, criss-crossed with paths and bridleways, and the glories of pre-historic Wiltshire and Oxfordshire lie all around them.
