Dartmoor National Park

Located in the South West in the heart of Devon, Dartmoor National Park is a landscape of beautiful views, granite tors, never ending wooded valleys with fast flowing rivers and rugged open spaces. However, Dartmoor is not only full of craggy countryside but has a wide range of  quiet areas perfect for picnics, light and easy trails for walking or cycling as well as a plethora of outdoor activities such as horse riding, climbing and canoeing.

The River Dart welcome canoeists from October to March each year, for some of the best white water canoeing in the country. For those who prefer to stay dry, there are some great places to go climbing and bouldering (for more experienced climbers) in Dartmoor National Park. For beginner climbers, there are activity providers which take you on organised climbs.

With over 350 square miles of unspoilt countryside, Dartmoor gives you the ultimate freedom to explore with friends or family. You can camp out under the stars and stumble across hidden gems in the largest and wildest area of open country in Southern England.
